1 – Some people may question what different between the NTA-8776 helmet with CPSC+MIPS helmet. MIPS help cyclists to reduce the risk of rotational impact (10%). However, for people who cruise at faster speeds 20mph wearing an CPSC helmet with MIPS insert, if they fall off their bike and hit their head, the EPS foam can get cracked easily, and their skull are exposed to damage. The CPSC helmet is tested at lower flat anvil and curbstone anvil drop speed than the NTA-8776 helmet. The NTA-8776 standard also require helmets to have greater coverage of back and temple, and thicker, more solid EPS foam. However, for riders who usually maintain their speed at 15mph or lower, CPSC and CPSC+MIPS helmet are also a good choice.
